Board Chair
Mark Cole
Mark grew up attending Carolina Free Baptist Church in rural southern Rhode Island, where he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior when he was 14 years old. He continues to attend the same church with his wife Michelle and 3 daughters, serving as head deacon and treasurer. Mark joined the board in November 2023. He enjoys watching New England sports teams and playing soccer and disc golf. Mark has a degree in mathematics from URI and works in data and analytics.

State Director
Alan Snow
Alan grew up in southeastern Connecticut and came to know Christ as his Savior at the age of 23. He has served as the state director for CEF of Connecticut and Rhode Island since April 2022. He previously served as the vice chairman on the CEF of CT board from 2020 to 2022 and as a member of the CEF of Rhode Island board from 2016 to 2022. He also serves as a deacon at Preston City Bible Church. Alan holds degrees in Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering from UConn and has worked for over 34 years in the chemical industry, holding various manufacturing and leadership positions. Alan and his wife, Sarah, have been married since 1991. Their son and daughter-in-law live in Texas and are expecting their first child in February 2026.

Board Vice Chair
Rich Powell
Rich has been a devoted Christian since the age of 12 and has spent much of his life serving both his country and his community. He proudly served six years in the United States Navy as part of the Submarine Force. Rich dedicated over 15 years to leading children’s ministry and another 15 years volunteering in youth ministry. His heart for young people is evident in everything he does. Rich is deeply passionate about showing children and youth the love of Jesus, guiding them with faith, encouragement, and compassion as they grow.​

Secretary
Greta Skiles
Greta has been a Christian since she was 7 years old. She first became involved in CEF when her mother held a Good News Club in their home during her childhood. Greta became the CEF of Connecticut Board Secretary in March, 2020. She has an adult son and daughter-in-law, and two dogs. She is a retired public-school teacher who currently teaches at Grace Valley Academy in Groton, CT. She is actively involved in the Revelation Church in Bozrah, Connecticut.

Treasurer
Cassidy Whipple
Cassidy is an accountant and enjoys camping with her husband and dog Larry, as well as boating, competing in triathlons, and spending time with her family. In addition to server as the CEF treasurer, Cassidy also enjoys volunteering her time as a vocalist on the worship team at Revelation Church.

Board Member
Pastor Justin Martin
Justin Martin is the pastor of Knotty Oak Baptist Church in Coventry, Rhode Island. He has served with Child Evangelism Fellowship for eight years, faithfully investing in the work of reaching children with the gospel. For most of that time, he has been involved in four Good News Clubs™ each week, teaching God’s Word and pointing children to Christ. He has also served as an active board member for several years, offering leadership and support to strengthen the ministry’s mission.

Joseph Hadfield
Joe serves faithfully with several ministries in Rhode Island and Connecticut, providing his invaluable knowledge, experience, leadership skills, and heart for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is a Senior Elder at his church, Still Water Christian Fellowship in Hope, Rhode Island. He is a Gideon and the former President of the Providence Camp. He also serves as Board Vice President for the Providence Rescue Mission, as a board member of North Stonington Christian Academy, and is a past board member of West Bay Christian Academy. Joe has a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from St. Louis University and served as Director of Planning and Engineering with Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics before retiring. Joe and his wife, Sondra (deceased), have two children.

Matt Gauthier
Matt lifelong resident of Preston Connecticut accepted Christ as his Savior at age 10. He got involved with CEF in 2014 and teaches a good news club in Norwich, CT while serving as a board member for CT. Matt and his wife Jamie attend Preston City Bible church and share time with their 2 daughters attending Revelation Church in Bozrah, CT. Matt is a Licensed Life Insurance agent and love spending time with the family on Amos Lake.
